Cards

I am not sure if I have mentioned it but I am having a stall at a Christmas Market on Saturday, so I have been madly making lots of bracelets etc. to have displayed. Today I was all braceleted (I think I invented that word) out, so I actually did some paid work and some housework. The novelty for those two didn't last long so I sat myself down and made a couple of cards. They are made with all Stampin Up supplies and I am pleased how they turned out. I am pretty much house bound at the moment, my dear old Dad is really feeling his 91 years lately. He is just like a baby - he just eats and sleeps. I never dreamed caring for someone could be so draining. Oh well this is the place I am meant to be at this time of my life. It really is quite a privilege caring for him in the last stages of his life. Hopefully it goes on for quite a while yet.

  1. Good luck on Saturday. Your cards look great. I love the colors.

And you are a good soul to care for your dad. I know it can be exhausting but what a wonderful thing you are doing for him. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

  2. I wish you all the best on Saturday Davine! Look at you go, I knew you could do this! :-) Will you also be selling cards on Saturday or are these for your personal use?

Bless your soul for taking care of your father, you have a kind heart Davine. There are many people today that put their elderly into homes and allow strangers to tend to them, it takes a lot of energy and if you need to borrow some of mine, you got it girl! Huge hugs sent to you from across the miles. Have a wonderful evening.

  4. Thanks girls for your comments. It's amazing how words from my blog friends whom I have never met can make my spirits rise - thanks. Yeah I thought I might try and sell some cards as well. I'll give anything a go at least once.

  5. Gorgeous cards, Davine! How delightful to have a break from designing 'Oh, WOW' jewellery and indulge in a little papercraft. Your stall will be a HUGE success on Saturday. :)
