"My Eyes Hurt"

Yeah, that's right my eyes hurt. This is my latest creation for my new up and coming business - "DavineRaeDesign". It's an "Inca Puno Chain Maille Bracelet" . I really like it, it has actually turned into a sort of square chain. I spent most of yesterday making it. I think next time I attempt a new design I will make the first sample from larger jump rings - might make it a bit easier on the eyeballs. My brain has gone into overload at the moment with all the designs I want to make to add to my collection. I guess now I need to work out the best way to sell my designs - so many ways - markets - ebay - website - shops - which direction do I go in??????

"Lets Get Creative"

Tonight I am going to a Creative Memories scrapbooking night with a couple of girlfriends. So from 7.30pm until 11.30pm I will be indulging in some ME time. I best make the most of it cause tomorrow I have to once again clean out my fish tank. It is a beautiful job when it's finished but it is really time consuming and not real exciting. Then next week I have to get into some inside house painting. That's also a job that the work is appreciated once it is finished. So I wish all who read my blog and also those who don't a great weekend and please try and slip at least a little me time into it.

"Birthdays"

Last night I went to one of my good friends 60th birthday gathering. Robyn decided rather than have a big night she just wanted to spend the evening with her girlfriends. So we all had a fun night with Alice and my PUNCH, KARAOKE, GREAT FOOD, LOTS OF LAUGHS. I really love to make gifts for my friends as I can really put my heart into their gift. For Robyn I made her this pearl bracelet. I am really pleased with how it turned out and it really suited Robyn. I have decided I am going to start my own small business and sell some of my jewellery. I think it is the time in my life where I start doing things I really want to do and not so much of what I have to do.

I took this photo of the beach in Wynyard, Tasmania at 6.00am on a cold frosty September morning in 2003. It was extremely peaceful, and serene, pity it didn't last all day. I think I need to start leaving the shore.

"What a nice Saturday"

What a nice Saturday I have had. I celebrated Christmas in July (but in June) with some friends I worked with at the

"Tasmanian Travel Centre". Our "Secret Santa" tradition for this celebration is that our gift should not cost any more than $5.00 and has to be really really bad. My gift was a yellow rubber duckie attached to a bath plug. Scary thing is I will probably use it. It's strange how you can work with some people and the only reason you mix with them is that you both work in the same location. Then there are other people you work with and even when people have left and the work place does not exist anymore you still have a connection and desire to stay in contact. I must say I do love this group of friends as we are all so different our conversations are really interesting, but we are alike enough to get each other.
